Free? What exactly is for free?
•Private classified line-ads from the public advertising items available for free or free to give away - are free when submitted online.
•Private Residential Garage Sales - are free when submitted online.
•Private classifed line-ads advertising under the Wanted Items category - are free when submitted online.

How do I place a free classified ad?
You can place free classified ads;
- In the Garage Sale category,
- In the Wanted Items category,
- If you are giving away your item/s for free.

•To place a free Garage Sale notice in the Garage Sale category, simply go to our FREE Garage Sales submission form.
•To place an advert in the Wanted Items category, simply go to our classifed ad submission form and select Wanted Items from the category selection menu.
•To place a free ad because you are giving away your item/s, simply go to our classified ad submission form and ensure you type the word FREE in the Sell Price box. ie, you are giving away your item for free, not asking a sell price.

What are the classified advertising prices?
Classified advertising prices can be found on page two of your magazine. They can also be found here.

Who can advertise in ThursdayAd?
Classified advertising is only for private, residential advertisers selling or wanting an item.
- Businesses must advertise using our business advertising packages. (see our business options on our website)
- Home based profit making ventures/exercises must advertise using our Trading From Home category.

I want to advertise my item in a Photo Ad, Is this a pro-rata fee?
No. All Photo Ads are a fixed fee, regardless of the section and regardless of the selling price.

How do I place a PhotoAd (photo classified)?
This can be done online or by post.
Post: See page 2 of all ThursdayAd magazines (How Much & How to Sell Your Stuff Form). Follow the Instructions on how to Post adverts, Include a photo (no discs accepted), payment and mail to address given.
Online: Click on 'Place an Ad' button, select 'photo classifieds' button, fill in the form, upload your photo (only jpeg format accepted) and pay online.

When will my classified ad appear?
The deadline for private classified line-ads is 9.00pm sharp every FRIDAY. (That's almost a full week in advance)
Your ad will appear in the next available edition of ThursdayAd.

Our weekly time frame is Friday 9pm, to the following Friday 9pm.
Our magazines have Thursday's date on them.
For your ad to be in the 'next' available edition of ThursdayAd, you must get it into us, before Friday 9pm.
If you placed your ad on a Saturday, your ad will not be in the very next Thursday release as the deadline for this magazine was Friday 9pm. Your advert if placed on a Saturday, is considrered to be an early placement of the Friday 9pm to Friday 9pm weekly time frame.

How long does my ad appear for?
All Paid Classified LineAds will run for 2 weeks.
Paid PhotoAds will run for 2 weeks.

In what order are the classified ads listed?
Classified ads are listed in order of when they are received.
Classified ads on their first week are listed below the classified ads on their second week of running.
An ad that is placed very early in the weekly time frame will be listed closer to the top of the chosen category when on its second week of printing. The weekly time frame is 9.00pm FRIDAY to 9.00pm the following FRIDAY.

I run a home profit making venture, How do I advertise with Thursday Ad?
Click on the Home button on the top left of your screen, Select the place an ad button, scroll down and select the trading from home button to open the form.
Alternatively, you can choose to advertise the same way as our businesses do and have a display or Trades & Services ad. Select the Home button on the top left of your screen, Select the advertise my business button for more information.

Where can I find copies of Thursday Ad near me?
Email us with your address and we shall return with your nearest local outlet.

What area does my Local Trading magazine cover?
Your Local Trading magazine covers the areas as described by the title of your magazine. The title is located at the foot of each page. You can click the 'coverage' link on the top of each page to get a visual representation via the map.

How do I pay, and who do I use?
You can use PayPal or SecurePay. (The DirectOne online payment gateway is part of the SecurePay Group. SecurePay is an Australian owned company)

• You do have a credit card - you can use either SecurePay, or PayPal.
• You do not have a credit card - you can only use PayPal. You will need to have a PayPal account already set up before you can purchase an ad with ThursdayAd without using a Credit Card. Your PayPal account will securely connect with your nominated bank account when you make purchases online.

ThursdayAd chooses to outsource online transactions to Secure Pay and PayPal as they are specialised in their field for trusted and secure online transactions.

Do I need to log in to ThursdayAd's website?
No, thursdayad.com.au does not require you to create a user account hence you are not ever required to log in. After you have placed your ad however, PayPal requests you to log in if you have a PayPal account, although when using PayPal and paying with a Credit Card you do not need to log into or create a PayPal account at all.

PhotoAds - Why didn't I see a preview of my photo?
After you fill out the PhotoAd form, you are requested to approve the 'text' of your PhotoAd. Then you are asked to upload your JPG photo. We currently do not support a visual preview of the photo you are uploading. However, upon successful upload, you will be presented with a "Well Done, your upload was successful" page. For this reason, please triple check the file name of your photo on your computer to ensure you are about to upload the correct photo to us.

Why does ThursdayAd keep telling us to make contact with the Advertising Businesses?
We would like to offer you, free, and as cheap as possible, classified ads.
To do this, we have to pay for the production of the magazine somehow, so the advertising businesses pay a rate that enables us to offer free and very cheap classified rates.

When these advertising businesses realise that they are getting a good response from their advertising in Thursday Ad, they will continue to advertise, and in turn, ThursdayAd will continue to be able to offer free, and very inexpensive classified ad rates.
It is as simple as that.
